The San Francisco 49ers look like an entirely different team when Christian McCaffrey is on the field.
Whether it’s Brock Purdy or Mac Jones at quarterback, everything the 49ers do on offense relies on their superstar running back.
That’s why it’s not a surprise to see that McCaffrey reached an exclusive milestone in Week 2.
As shown by the Pro Football Hall of Fame, he joined Marshall Faulk and Lenny Moore as the only players in NFL history to have at least 50 rushing touchdowns and 30 receiving touchdowns in their career.

McCaffrey’s talent and impact have never been in doubt.
If anything, that’s why his injury history with the Niners and Carolina Panthers has been such a major concern.
Putting up those numbers despite missing so much time is a testament to his ability.
When healthy, there’s a legitimate case to be made that he’s not only the best running back in the league, but also the best overall offensive weapon.
McCaffrey is a system within himself, and pairing him with head coach Kyle Shanahan’s strong running game is a perfect match.
Hopefully, he will stay healthy this season and beyond to keep adding to his Hall of Fame trajectory.
